Helvetreis is a Swiss falling-block puzzle game available on iOS and Android. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use the Helvetreis mobile app or visit the Helvetreis website, how that information is used, and the choices and rights available to you.

1. Information we collect
Information you provide in the game
When creating a Helvetreis player profile, you choose:
- a username; and
- a country from a predefined list;
- a canton from a predefined list, provided you chose Switzerland as a country.
You are not required to provide your real name, email address or other directly identifying personal information to create a player profile. Your chosen username may be publicly visible within game features such as rankings.
Please avoid using personal or sensitive information as your username.
Information collected automatically
When you use Helvetreis or visit our website, certain technical and usage information may be collected automatically. This can include information such as your device type, operating system, app interactions, approximate location derived from technical information, advertising identifiers, IP address and general usage information.
The information collected depends on the services and settings available on your device.
Information you provide when contacting us
If you contact us by email for support, privacy enquiries or other questions, we receive your email address and any information you choose to include in your message.
2. How we use information
We use information collected through Helvetreis to:
- operate and maintain the game and website;
- provide player profiles and rankings;
- understand how people use Helvetreis and improve the game;

- protect the game and its users against misuse, fraud and security threats;

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our website and to help us improve it.

Helvetreis uses Google AdMob to display advertising within the mobile app.
AdMob may collect or process information such as advertising identifiers, device information, IP address, approximate location and information about interactions with advertisements. Depending on your location, device settings, age and consent choices, advertisements may be personalised or non-personalised.
Google acts as a third-party service provider and processes information in accordance with its own privacy policies.
You may be able to limit advertising tracking or manage advertising preferences through your device settings and, where applicable, consent controls presented within the app.
5. Third-party services
Helvetreis relies on third-party services to distribute, operate, analyse and monetise the game and website. These include services provided by:
- Google, including Google Analytics and Google AdMob;
- Apple, for distribution of the iOS app through the App Store; and
- Google Play, for distribution of the Android app.
These services may collect and process information independently under their own privacy policies.
Helvetreis does not offer in-app purchases or subscriptions and does not collect payment-card information.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
The Helvetreis website and third-party services used on it may use cookies or similar technologies for essential functionality, analytics and related purposes.
Where required by applicable law, we will ask for your consent before using non-essential cookies or similar technologies.

Because Helvetreis does not require your real name or email address when creating a player profile, we may need information such as your username to identify the relevant account or data when responding to a request.

- request access to personal data held about you;
- ask us to correct inaccurate personal data;
- request deletion of personal data;
- object to or restrict certain processing;

10. Children’s privacy
Helvetreis is not intended to collect personal information directly from children.
Players are not required to provide their real name, email address or other directly identifying information when creating a player profile.
Where applicable, we take measures intended to comply with laws governing children’s privacy and advertising. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a child has provided personal information through Helvetreis, please contact privacy@helvetreis.ch so that we can investigate and, where appropriate, delete it.
11. International data transfers
Helvetreis is operated from Switzerland, while some of our third-party service providers operate internationally. As a result, information may be processed in Switzerland or in other countries.
Where required, personal data transferred internationally is handled using safeguards recognised under applicable data protection law.
12. Data security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration, loss or misuse.
No internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security, but we take appropriate steps to protect the information processed through Helvetreis and its website.
